Atlanta Chief Executive Officer
Emma spent over three years in the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role, first at Swinton where she oversaw its sale to Atlanta as well as its digital transformation, and then as the CFO for Atlanta before becoming our Chief Executive Officer. She’s passionate about Atlanta’s brands, purpose, and potential.
Emma has held leadership roles at In Touch Networks, BNN Technology, NorthEdge Capital, having started her career at Deloitte.

Emma is passionate about helping women to succeed and regularly speaks at industry events, including the 2021 REACH Summit which aims to inspire, educate and empower girls from all backgrounds.
Chief Commercial Officer
Craig oversees all commercial activity, and is responsible for implementing our commercial strategies and for the performance of all brands across Atlanta. Joining Autonet in 2005 as Chief Financial Officer, Craig has played an integral role in the leadership of the business. Craig also leads on all acquisitions and is a key driving force for the ambitious growth of Atlanta.
Chief Financial Officer
Rob has recently been appointed CFO of Atlanta to support our commercial decision making, and further drive the simplification of our growth agenda. He also remains CEO of Paymentshield, one of the UK’s largest GI provider for intermediaries, as well as being CEO of Atlanta Acquisitions and Integrations, where he helps the leadership teams of our acquired businesses drive performance and become a full part of the Group. Rob has extensive experience within listed, mutual, not for profit and private equity backed businesses. Rob is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from Manchester Business School.
Chief Administrative Officer
Having originally joined Autonet in 2011 as Compliance Director with over 30 years’ industry leadership, Jenny is now Atlanta’s Chief Administrative Officer. Jenny ensures we have the right corporate governance structure in place, providing clear governance oversight of our business. Jenny also plays a leading role in our acquisition and integration activity and was instrumental in the creation of Atlanta.
Chief Information Officer
James is an industry recognised leader in technology. He joined Atlanta to lead our digital and data strategy in 2017, bringing a wealth of strategic and operational experience. He was previously Chief Information Officer of Brightside where he oversaw their large scale system migration, and prior was part of the Hastings Management Buyout team. An early innovator, he led the development of anti-fraud and insight technologies which was adopted across the sector. He also has significant experience in mergers and acquisition for both growth and efficiency.
Chief Operating Officer
Tony leads our Operations at Atlanta and has been with the business since 2014, having originally started at Autonet as Operations Director. He’s got more than 30 years’ experience in the general insurance sector, and is adept at developing and delivering operational strategy, efficiency, integration and transformation programmes. He’s held various senior leadership roles, including Ageas and Express Insurance - part of Kwik-Fit Insurance Services.
Chief People Officer
Ali is our Chief People Officer, which means it’s her job make sure all our people-centred activities are working to support both individual - and commercial - growth. With a genuine passion for people, Ali has extensive experience in senior HR roles with brands such as Ardonagh and Aviva. She is a strong cultural advocate and brand builder, ensuring we attract, develop and retain the best and brightest talent for the business. She is also a fully accredited Executive Coach and qualified Psychotherapist.
Chief Customer Officer
We’re serious about putting the customer at the heart of what we do, and at the heart of that is Karen. Appointed Chief Customer Officer in 2021, having previously been Chief Operating Officer. Before that she was leading insurance at Sainsbury’s. She’s got extensive industry experience and over the last 30 years has had roles ranging from the mailroom at General Accident to Managing Director at AXA. It’s her job to make sure that customers really do come first at Atlanta.
Rob is our Commercial Director, overseeing our Pricing and Performance teams. He joined Atlanta in 2019, having previously been Commercial Director at the AA’s insurance division. He’s also worked at KPMG investigating the power of next generation statistical techniques in insurance pricing; been responsible for technical pricing at Direct Line Group for all UK personal lines; and priced a Markerstudy Motor aggregator launch. Rob is a qualified actuary.
Rebecca joined Swinton as Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) in 2018. She was appointed as FP&A Director for Atlanta in 2020 and then Finance Director in 2021. Before joining Swinton Rebecca was a Finance Director with GE Capital where she held a number roles over 13 years covering Commercial Finance, Pricing and Mergers and Acquisition. CIMA qualified, graduating from Leeds University with a degree in Maths and Management, Rebecca has extensive Finance experience working for a number of global organisations across Financial Services and Manufacturing industries.
Chris was one of the people who played a key role in the growth of Autonet, we’re pleased to say he’s still playing a key role today as our Trading Director. It’s his job to lead negotiations on our Insurer, Aggregator and Ancillary carrier relationships to help customers get the best deals from a choice of distribution channels. He’s also the person who created the Trading strategy for the purchases of Carole Nash and Swinton along with other Atlanta brands as the wider Trading teams came together with Autonet to form the Atlanta Trading function.
Analytics & Fraud Director
Andy has more than 30 years personal lines industry experience, both composite insurer and intermediary, with long term senior roles at Highway, Allianz and now Atlanta as our Analytics and Fraud Director. He’s highly skilled in the field of underwriting fraud, distribution, and in building relationships with insurers and other external partners. Since 2017, it’s with his expertise and under his direction that Atlanta has developed and delivered successful underwriting, fraud prevention and data insight strategies.
Risk & Compliance Director
Sara leads the Risk & Compliance function at Atlanta, having previously led the same function for Carole Nash. Over the last 30 years she’s worked at the Information Commissioner’s Office on policy, Deloitte in data protection, embedded new regulation in MBNA, and helped retailers like Homebase, Argos and Habitat comply with credit and insurance rules. She’s absolutely dedicated to clear controls, transparency, and fairness.
James recently joined us from The Ardonagh Group’s legal team, where he was responsible for Merger & Acquisition (M&A) and corporate legal advice. He has a broad range of experience working within the Group and insurance services, as well as over 10 years’ experience as a private equity and M&A lawyer with city law firm SJ Berwin (later King & Wood Mallesons). After working closely with Atlanta on a number of projects, including leading the legal aspects of our acquisitions, he now leads the legal function, working even more closely with our team across all aspects of our business.
Gary has more than 20 years’ experience in specialist insurance marketing, helping brokers understand, target and engage with customers directly through multi-channel campaigns, and providing brokers with the opportunity to acquire new business from non-aggregator channels. Gary is fully experienced in generating sales opportunities for a wide range of Personal Lines insurance products. He began his 15 year working relationship by supporting Autonet, where he provided a suite of Marketing services, before joining Atlanta in 2019 as Marketing Director. He is now responsible for generating sales opportunities, branding, customer communications, digital journeys and sponsorship opportunities across all our Atlanta brands and businesses.
John was appointed as Transformation Director in 2021 after working with Atlanta as a consultant. He leads our Group Operations Transformation programme, Target Operating Model, Ops Integration and other strategic projects. He brings 25 years’ financial services experience across insurance, banking, investment banking, life and pensions and has held UK and global leadership positions at GE Capital, UBS Investment Bank, Egg and Aviva. His experience includes transformation, process engineering, lean six sigma, regulatory & solvency, technology, shared services and outsourcing programmes.
