Analytics Lead

Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant numerical discipline (eq Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science etc).

Relevant industry (insurance/financial services) experience evidenced by examples of leading analytics teams to support commercial insight and business performance

Proven leadership Experience of line management and/or matrix-style management in a previous role

Extensive knowledge [via delivery of analytics projects] a range of statistical techniques and concepts e.g., logistic regression, clustering, decision trees, machine learning

Highly numerate with extensive knowledge of analytical techniques and the application of these in a business context

SQL

MS Excel

Power BI

R and/or Python

Skills

Proven leadership skills, especially in a demanding, fast paced environment

Ability to succinctly present findings and conclusions to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely to varied and sometimes non-technical audiences

Excellent planning and organisation skills.

Lead the delivery of analytics provided to the Atlanta group business via analysis, testing, modelling, profiling and reporting.

Lead a small team of analysts, developing and building a great team culture that delivers high quality output subject to relevant timescales.

Lead and manage analysis projects, at appropriate level of sophistication/depth to deliver market-leading broker insight offerings

Building close working relationships with stakeholder teams such as Pricing, Marketing and Data Engineering to ensure roadmap suitability, and that ad hoc support is in place to facilitate their roles and appropriate involvement in wider business projects.
