Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant area (e.g Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science).

Insurance/financial services industry experience in an analytical or pricing role

Expertise – Highly numerate with extensive knowledge of analytical techniques and application of these in a business context

SQL / SAS

MS Excel

Radar / Emblem

Power BI

Owner, subject matter expert and central point of contact for insurer panel performance analytics, marketing analytics and customer segmentation value analysis

Skills

Communication – Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely to varied and sometimes non-technical audiences.

Commercial acumen – ability to understand the wider business and frame commercial context of analytical tasks.

Prioritisation – capable of identifying key activities to ensure overall team objective are met

Stakeholder management – able to communicate both positive and negative messages, gain buy in from and build effective working relationships with key internal stakeholder

Prioritisation, workflow management and review of key deliverables issued from the team into the wider business

Continued development and delivery of an effective performance management regime ensuring progression of existing panel member performance, identification of emerging opportunities / threats and appropriate communication of results

Designing, guiding and conducting analysis, at appropriate level of sophistication / depth to deliver market leading broker insight offerings

Building close working relationship with Insurer Relations, Marketing, Pricing and the Commercial Directors to ensure ad hoc support is in place to facilitate their roles and appropriate involvement in wider business projects.
