Area Sales Manager

Knowledge

Proven knowledge and understanding of the Mortgage Market, regulation, TCF and FCA

Experience in a face-to face role in the intermediary market

Experienced in managing a field based sales team

Proven experience of coaching and developing a field based sales team

Profit and budget literate

Business related computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Sales Force (desirable)

Lead Regional sales team toward achievement of corporate sales objectives.

Implement any sector plans for the region around specific requirements, such as increasing remortgage penetration, including checks on all team members, specific to the sector plan.

Develop process and structures with intermediaries to improve their sales conversion rates.

Ensure effective, training, development and retention of sales team in conjunction with the National Sales Manager.

Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals.

Excellent presentation skills, small groups to large audiences of 200

Ability to communicate at all levels including CEO

Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally

Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills Sales skills, experience on a B2B level

Relationship management and business development skills

Develop an appropriate business plan to maximise sales within the region.

Provide leadership through, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
