Knowledge

Track record of successfully delivering analytical insight that results in real business change and enhanced performance

Advanced level of PC Skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Experience of PowerBI

Track record of continuous development & improvement

Senior FP&A experience in the Insurance industry.

Working in a senior FP&A in a Group structure

Accredited professional (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)

Commercial finance experience with the proven ability to link trading /operational performance to financials

Skills

Analyse external trends and identify customer and commercial opportunities

Highly numerate and comfortable with complex mathematical models / calculations.

Excellent time management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Develop a strong team through effective recruitment, training, coaching and mentoring. Set the highest possible standard of behaviours, creating a team and a high-performance ethic. Ensure training is in alignment with FCA requirements.

Drive continuous improvement in planning, month end and reporting processes.

Supporting a culture of incisive decision making, with a strong focus on timely reporting of management information, blending financial and trading/operational performance metrics to drive profitability

Develop a data rich, data driven decision culture working in conjunction with the insight team to utilise tools such as PowerBI to enable better analytics / insight

Assist the Director of FP&A, FD and Executive team with ad hoc ad-hoc projects to positively impact on the key priorities of the business

Business Partnering with Executive members and their direct reports to ensure delivery of the strategic and financial objectives
