Knowledge
Track record of operating at Financial Controller level with demonstrable experience of leading teams
Experience of working in complex organisational structures
Demonstrable experience in prioritising, managing multiple deliverables & stakeholders
Experienced in supporting the business through appropriate accounting and financial guidelines
Extensive experience of financial reporting systems (Dynamics 365, SUN) Desirable
Demontrable experience of enhancing and implementing financial controls
Good understanding of regulatory obligations
Demonstrable knowledge of financial services environment, including relevant regulation
Accredited professional (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
Strong and current technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP and IFRS)

To set clear goals and objectives for the team allowing you to monitor and manage the performance of team members including regular completion of prescribed evaluation processes.
To effectively manage all direct reports and ensure they fully comply with Company policies, processes and performance management expectations.
Support the execution of a number of strategic projects including: implementation of a standard general ledger, purchase to pay system and employee expense system; legal entity simplification; process simplification and team structure optimisation as well as any other projects as required.
Ensure all financial reporting is compliant with the relevant accounting standards.
Ensure adherence with Group accounting policies, Group policies and Group Business Standards.
To ensure the integrity of the financial control environment including maintaining appropriate and effective accounting systems, controls, records and monitoring mechanisms.
The role will support the Financial Controller – Direct with the Finance Change Programme which will include the execution of a number of strategic projects.
Develop a strong team through effective recruitment, training, coaching and mentoring. Set the highest possible standard of behaviours, creating a a high-performance team ethic.
The role will be responsible for the day to day management and oversight of the team including ensuring all key deliverables are met, providing guidance and coaching where needed and developing the team.
