Knowledge

Previous experience of working in a Marketing function 

Experience in a similar role in a Marketing function

Educated to degree level or equivalent – preferably in a Marketing or numerical discipline

Your role will require you to assist the Planning Manager in a range of activities designed to help optimise marketing effectiveness across all strands of marketing.

Commercial awareness and understanding of Marketing’s impact on the wider business.

Knowledge of how to interpret Marketing results and how to forecast forward based on these and any other relevant factors

Own and maintain Marketing telephony tracking processes including approving new requests

You will help ensure that the performance of all marketing activity is regularly reviewed, and assist in monitoring the department’s performance against targets.

Represent the Marketing department in Finance and budget meetings as appropriate, and play a role in determining marketing budgets and forecasts with other areas of the business e.g. Finance. Ensure Finance and Marketing reporting of spend reconcile on a month-by-month basis

Broad understanding of different Marketing channels and activity types

Skills

Liaise with BI and other relevant data teams to ensure data required for reporting is available and accurate, identifying and escalating any gaps as required

You will input into the continuous development of reporting dashboards and MI relating to marketing activity.

Proven influencing skills to both internal and external stakeholders

Monitor, analyse and evaluate relevant and meaningful MI, and produce practical recommendations for change

Produce presentations to update the Business on Marketing performance on a regular basis.

Good analytical and numerical skills
