Communication & Engagement Consultant

Knowledge

Prior communications experience in one or more of the following areas: channels management, editorial and content strategy, operational communications, change communications

Knowledge and understanding of channels management practices and techniques in a multi-disciplined, geographically displaced organisation

Proficient in SharePoint, Yammer, Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and WebEx

Delivering engaging and purposeful internal and external communications, projects and events in support of the business strategy and key engagement activities

Sound understanding of internal communications and employee engagement theory with the ability to creatively turn ideas into compelling and relevant deliverables which deliver business impact and drive desired employee behaviour

Proven track record executing internal and external communications in complex, multi-site business.

Experience providing advice and counsel to business stakeholders

Skills

Providing ongoing strategic and operational communications counsel to support individual companies within Atlanta including how to develop, maintain and best utilise existing channels

Building and maintaining effective relationships across the business to encourage flow of information to the communications team

Own social media and employee communications channels, actively finding and creating engaging content and stories from across the Group each day

Developing and driving effective methods of planning and managing content across communications channels

Support and proactively improving Atlanta’s communications channels including Intranet in support of them becoming a valuable resource for all colleagues

Sociable and amiable – ability to develop relationships quickly both internally and externally and manage big personalities

Superb communications skills – written (e.g. news writing, social media, speeches and presentations, press releases) and verbal (e.g. from 1:1 to audience briefings) - effective across diverse audience

Developing and delivering communications plans that support business / functional priorities and change programmes

Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage and execute a large number of projects and tasks simultaneously

Exceptional writing and proofing skills – hands-on approach with meticulous attention to detail especially in high pressure situations

Adaptable and proactive content creator and curator - can confidently write across a range of topics, seek new angles and find missing information

Excellent writing skills and ability to adapt to a wide range of styles is essential to the success of this role, as is the ability to work autonomously and proactively in a remote environment.
