Proven experience leading and managing a multi-discipline communications and events team, creating a working environment that is results and quality oriented, high energy and focused on resilience
Act as SME adviser - guide the business on potential impact of decisions/actions on external and internal stakeholders and help them manage it to achieve the best outcome
Manage assigned budget and suppliers ensuring resources are allocated effectively to secure best value for money and optimum results
Confident in both planning and leading strategic initiatives and taking a hands-on approach to delivery with meticulous attention to detail especially in high pressure situations
Be aware of emerging internal and external issues to exploit messaging opportunities and mitigate reputational risk; manage major change announcements/difficult messages /balance negative impact and protect reputation; crisis management
Extensive experience executing internal communications and employee engagement in complex, multi-site, multi-brand national business with a satellite structure ideally within financial services
Guides and advises on the brand strategy in collaboration with Marketing and Employee Branding teams to ensure all levels of activity are aligned and pitched at the right level

Superb communications skills – written (e.g. news writing, speeches and presentations, press releases) and verbal (e.g. from 1:1 to audience briefings) - effective across diverse audiences
Strong interpersonal skills, articulate with the ability to influence and negotiate
High commercial awareness – maintain current knowledge and understanding of the UK business and political environment and any impact of events on Atlanta and its customers, partners and colleagues
Deliver a Corporate Communications and Engagement strategy for Atlanta aligning communications, PR & sponsorship, website & socials to create one centre of Comms excellence positioning our Atlanta brand
Leads the team to deliver engaging and purposeful communications and engagement and culture projects in support of the business strategy and to promote the progress, achievements and working culture of Atlanta
Execute projects and activity in support of the people and culture strategy of Atlanta to educate, inform and empower key audiences to understand the purpose and vision of Atlanta in relation to their day to day roles
Identifies and delivers upon opportunities to build the reputation of Atlanta brands including participation in industry events and initiatives, entry into industry awards
Strong planning and crisis management skills – with the ability to identify road blocks or barriers to success and mitigate these/prepare solutions for multiple scenarios
