People Advisor

Knowledge

Develop and maintain good business knowledge to effectively work across business units ensuring that the employee relations plan is delivered

Support and coach managers across the business through the provision of appropriate, effective and timely ER advice on all ER issues/cases enabling manager accountability and delivery.

Deliver coaching/upskill workshops for managers to increase manager capability and confidence in applying the People Policies

Manage a portfolio of ER cases, providing expert advice to managers including grievance, disciplinary, sickness absence and performance improvement cases

Develop skills to become a Subject Matter Expert in one or more areas of ER providing guidance to colleagues and the wider business on cases, trends and continuous improvement.

Maintain a customer focus at all times and manage interactions with them in a professional, confidential and sensitive manner.

To actively support and encourage at all times, compliance with our quality principles, company policies and best practice in security, legal and regulatory requirements

Good problem solving skills to successfully implement practical ER solutions.

Experience of building strong relationships with stakeholders across various locations.

Work as a proactive member of the ER and wider People Services team on business as usual activities and any specific project and/or continuous improvement activities within the function.

Working as part of a team focused on continuous improvement and customer service

Present recommendations to the Employee Relations Lead on how improvements could be made to inform continuous improvement decisions.

Support ongoing HR policy reviews by contributing to the development and/or updates to HR policies and toolkits in line with legislative requirements, business objectives, culture and values.

To safeguard information, paying particular attention to customer and employee data and business sensitive information

Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking / conferences /associations / groups, to stay current on Industry developments & innovations. Encourage, support and coach other team members in their own development.

Level 5 CIPD professional qualification or equivalent
