Risk & Compliance Apprentice


Provide information, guidance and advice to the business on managing risks and maintaining compliance with regulatory, financial crime and data protection requirements

Understanding of Risk & Compliance frameworks eg. operational risk, conduct risk, financial crime, data protection

Keep up to date with existing and new risk and regulatory requirements and ensure these are applied to working practice

Experience in financial services specifically general insurance

Risk and Compliance understanding-broad understanding of the financial services regulatory framework

Experience of working within a change culture and undertaking a role that has driven change forward or an approach that evidences a positive mindset to change, responding to challenges constructively

Develop and produce risk and regulatory reporting utilising existing tools (eg. DFN) for committees, oversight forums and other relevant purposes

Ability to effectively use MS Office packages


Support the business in maintaining compliance with relevant regulatory and legislative requirements

Support the business and/or take the lead in responding to incidents of non-compliance e.g. Risk Events, Financial Crime incidents, Data Breaches

Support with the implementation and maintenance of DFN (Group Risk Management system) across Atlanta

Support with the implementation of risk and compliance policies and business standards

Provide feedback to the business on areas for risk and compliance development

Good organisation skills with ability to prioritise

Strong negotiation skills and an ability to work with the business to find solutions

Good problem solving and analytical skills

Work collaboratively with the business and build professional relationships with your stakeholders, you will lead by example and communicate professionally, openly and honestly with the business

Confident, clear and concise communication style and able to adapt to the audience as required.

Proven ongoing desire for learning & development

Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking / conferences /associations / groups, to stay current on Industry developments & innovations.
