Earlier this summer, we launched our Happier Holidays campaign. We teamed up with charities who provide free activities and food for children during the school holidays, including Manchester Youth Zone, The Hubb Foundation and Barca, to donate food and supply hampers. The organisations we chose not only support those families who would ordinarily receive free school meals, but any families who find themselves struggling, as the activities are open for anyone to attend, helping to remove any kind of stigma or judgement.

Huge thanks to our wonderful colleagues across Atlanta for their fantastic contributions to our Happier Holidays Campaign. Whether making an online donation or collecting items for the hampers as part of our food and supply drive, it’s humbling to see the generous support provided, especially during these challenging times.

Our donations and hampers have now been shared with our three chosen local charities, Manchester Youth Zone, The Hubb Foundation and Barca, as well as to the local charities supported by our offices in other locations.

We’ve raised a fantastic £1,720 for our partner charities, including donations from the Atlanta Community Fund, smashing last year’s total. We’ve already started to receive feedback to say what a difference your donations have made.

Amanda Sykes, Barca-Leeds Children and Young Person’s Manager said: “Barca-Leeds would like to say a big thank you to Atlanta for their donations and support for the children, young people and families we work with. With this support, our children and young people’s team have been able to deliver fantastic events and activities for families in our community. The generosity and support from the team this year has been fantastic and has really helped us make a difference. We can’t thank you enough for your kindness.”

Tana Owen, The Hubb Foundation School Relationship Manager said: "A massive thank you to all of those that donated food, household items and toiletries to The Hubb Foundation. These items were delivered at one of our community sessions with families and children. They were so grateful for the donations. Each family took it in turns to select items and the children were invited to take a look and select ‘treats’ to take home. The children and families all went home with smiles on their faces and a bag in their hand. Thank you."
